Technology Overview

"21st-century skills" demands that students utilize the latest technology across the curriculum.  All Souls has devoted time and resources to teachers over the years so that technology integration through the curriculum can occur.  The school provides staff, parents, and students 24-hour access to grades, assignments, report cards, ongoing assessment, and attendance.  Through the School information system, parents have the opportunity to communicate with staff.  There are electronic interactive boards in every classroom along with one-to-one devices for every student. Technology/Computers is taught in grades Kindergarten through 8.  All Souls School follows ISTE's National Educational Technology Standards (NETS).

Students entering the 6th grade (junior high) purchase a laptop that is used for the next three years.  The school provides a multi-media lab with iMAC machines on which students can practice skills while becoming proficient in the use of technology.  We also utilize technology to keep parents informed via our school eNewsletter and through the 'SchoolSpeak' system that can communicate with all our families within a few minutes in the event of an emergency or alert families of any noteworthy event or information.

Teachers utilize the Google suite of apps that are integrated through the curriculum.  The use of Google classroom has been a huge advantage to both students and teachers.  During Distance Learning, the school utilizes Zoom as a learning platform along with Google Classroom.

Students are learning the importance of working in teams and the traditional Tech Lab has been renovated to reflect a team's approach to learning.  Students have the opportunity to learn to code, develop skills in 3D development and printing.
